Umbra Cornuta Looking solely at the musical rendering and making abstraction of the great names of musicians and producers that put their stamp and hands on this album, it's all the same a catarhic and echoing experience. What strikes the most is the agonizing, disturbing voice of Mers Sumida. She is crawling all the instrumental whirlwinds into deeper abyssal dimensions. With every new listening I was unskinning a peculiar bleak layer of it. Favorite track: Obtuse.

blashy101 This will, without a doubt, become one of those kinds of records that may not pick up a huge amount of steam initially because it is a debut full length. however, it will become a fan favorite for the painstaking attention to detail from all musicians involved plus the producer, Billy Anderson. Apart from the old school classics, I can't say there is many more albums in the black metal genre that really do it for me like this does. HIGHLY recommended. Favorite track: Helm.

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly. Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
